Kathy currently serves as the Director of Liturgical Ministries and Music for St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, the largest Catholic church in the US with over 11,000+ families on 2 campuses. Her background includes leadership as a Corporate VP with proven expertise in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Training and Development, Total Quality Management, and serving as Management Consultant/Corporate Trainer – writing, creating and producing curriculum and DVD based materials.

 

Kathy is a talented singer, song writer/composer, and choir director, who plays guitar and keyboard. She has produced 4 CD’s to date.  At St. Matthew Church, Kathy is the Chair of the Worship Commission, directing Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Ministers of the Word, Hospitality (Ushers), Sacristans, Altar Servers, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Arts and Environment, Altar Guild, Greeters/Welcome Desk and Eucharistic Adoration.

She directs 4 Pastoral teams to increase Parishioners’ spirituality (Leadership Development, Welcoming and Hospitality, The Sunday Experience and Evangelization/Engagement). Kathy serves on the Church’s Pastoral Evangelization/Engagement team focusing on Evangelization initiatives and improving overall Engagement (belonging).  Additionally, Kathy is Certified by the Gallup Organization as a Level One Strengths Coach and trained as a Level Three Strengths Coach..

Kathy was the primary writer/creator of the Seeking Purpose annual retreat (Discerning the Charisms of the Holy Spirit), and primary writer/producer for St. Matthew’s first DVD based Small Group Lenten Series, The Puzzle of Life, with over 200 small groups participating.  Kathy is married to Dan and resides in Lake Wylie, SC.  They have six children and eleven grandchildren.
